Insights:

Attached and Engaged seem opposites, but are in the same topic.

Dali Lama as an example of peaceful and engaged.  Still very busy, yet still very peaceful.

You can be deeply involved and yet do each part peacefully.

Being peaceful does not equal not caring.

Peace can embrace excitement, happiness, excitement.

If you are engaged too much, you lose peacefulness.

Need to separate the “what” and the “how.”

Example: A surgeon should not operate on his/her relative because as you are engaged in the work, you become too attached.

Need to find the boundary between passion and obsession.

Detached to the past and future and engaged in the present.

The difference between the “superego” and the “I.”

Need to listen more to our intuition.  “What do you Really want?”

If I don’t have engagement, I lose energy.

There is a difference between being detached and unattached.

I try to be more engaged with people, and less engaged with things or outcomes.

The world forces detachment, i.e. the taxi drives off with my baggage, then I get bumped to First Class.
