Preface(前言):
越來越多人們想要參與國際志工服務,前往別的國家擔任志工,在台灣,每年就有好幾千人擔任過國際志工。這次討論是希望大家探討透過開放空間技巧,創造負責任且能永續經營的國際志工服務計畫。
There are more and more people want to be international volunteer. In Taiwan, thousands of people provide services in other countries each year. How can we use OST to create responsible and sustainable international volunteer program?
Situation(現況):
1. 現在有各種短中長期的國際志工服務計畫,不分各種年齡,大家皆可參加。
There are short, middle and long term international volunteer program which people are different age can join.
2. 各種計畫大多是由志工團隊與服務地點當地組織合作,進行合作方案。
Most volunteer programs executed by volunteers and local organization.
3. 台灣有許多大學組織學生擔任國際志工,透過公開甄選,進行長期培訓(六個月),對外募款籌措旅費與計畫費用。
In Taiwan, many universities organize student to be international volunteer. They need to pass audition, attain long term training (six months), and ask for donation.
4. 有些志工團隊長期服務同一地點,有些則常換地點。
Some volunteer teams serve one community for long time, some change the service spot.
5. 國際志工服務對於當地組織是很大的負擔,需要針對服務計畫進行許多事前籌備工作,甚至有些狀況是前往服務的志工被當地人照顧。
It’s hard burden for the local organization, they need to do a lot of pre-work. It is sometimes the local people serve the volunteer.
Application of OST(OST的應用):
1. 志工團隊可透過OST設定團隊服務規範,而非僅是遵守指導老師的規定。
Volunteer team could set up service rule with OST, rather than just follow the regulation regulations from tutor.
2. 志工團隊可透過OST自主設計行前培訓課程。
Volunteer team could design training program with OST.
3. 對有意願參加多背一公斤活動的背包客發出邀請,透過OST讓他們探討可對服務地點提供何種協助,或是前往旅遊時進行何種物資捐贈。
We can invite the backpacker who would like to join “one more kilogram project”. They can discuss how to help and what they can bring to donate with OST.
4. 志工團隊可用OST與贊助者介紹服務計畫,讓贊助者思考各種可能提供協助的可能性。
Volunteer team could introduce service program to sponsors and discuss various assistances from them.
5. 志工團隊可用OST協助贊助企業進行內部員工訓練,使用服務地點擔任例子,喚起企業員工對服務地點的關注。
Volunteer team could train the employees in the sponsor companies, and use their service program as example with OST. It could arouse more attention for the spot which volunteer offer service.
6. 志工團隊到達服務地點開始服務前,透過OST與當地工作者進行討論將執行的計畫,根據當地最新狀況做出計畫調整。
Before the volunteer team start to serve, they can discuss the service program with local staff and make some adjust base on the latest situation with OST.
7. 志工團隊可用OST與被服務對象進行第一次接觸,可用討論或遊戲、歌唱方式認識彼此。
Volunteer team can get familiar with local people with OST in the very beginning. They can dance or sing together.
8. 志工團隊每天進行的工作分享討論各用OST進行。
Volunteer team could review their work with OST everyday.
9. 志工團隊在服務結束時可用OST與當地工作者以及被服務者進行交流,了解服務狀況。
Volunteer team could share thoughts and understand the quality of services with local staff and people before they leave.
10. 把前往服務過的志工組成支援團隊,透過OST對將前往服務的志工說明當地狀況。
People who had finished their service could establish a support team. The support team could train the future volunteer with OST.
11. 各個前往服務過志工組成的支援團隊,可透過OST,彼此分享服務遇到的狀況,探討更好的服務方案。
Different support team which service locations could share experience and discuss better volunteer program with OST.
12. 剛回來的志工可用OST方式與以前去過的志工進行分享,讓以前去過的志工隊服務地點狀況保持理解。
Volunteers who just finish service could share experience with support team. So the support team could update the information about the service location.
